Terms and Conditions

  1. Parties
    1. The booking terms and conditions are between Funäsfjällens Lavinskola and the Customer/Participant and include all booked activities and products.
  2. Booking and Payment
    1. A reservation for an activity is confirmed once payment has been made through the website or upon ordering directly through contact with Funäsfjällens Lavinskola. In case of late payment of an invoice, interest on overdue payments will be applied.
  3. Canceled Activities
    1. Funäsfjällens Lavinskola reserves the right to cancel activities due to insufficient amount of  participants, hazardous weather or snow conditions, or lack of snow. Activities may also be relocated to a different area. Activities canceled due to lack of snow will be refunded or rescheduled. If the participant is unable to attend on the new date or location, a refund will be issued. Funäsfjällens Lavinskola is not responsible for additional costs incurred due to canceled arrangements.
  4. Participant Information
    1. The Customer must provide complete participant information for all members of the group at the time of booking.
  5. Cancellation
    1. Cancellations made 22 days or more before the activity start date will receive a 60% refund.
    2. No refunds are issued for cancellations made 0–21 days before the activity start date.
    3. Cancellations must be made in writing to info@lavinskola.se.
    4. If the Customer/Participant cannot attend the course, they may cancel as per the terms above. Customers/Participants who are unable to attend may register on the waiting list by emailing info@lavinskola.se with preferences for courses they wish to be on the waiting list for. Responses regarding available spots will be given no earlier than two weeks before the course start date.
    5. Refunds are available in the case of illness, provided a medical certificate is presented. A 500 SEK administrative fee will be deducted from the refund.
  6. Right of Withdrawal (Distansavtal)
                                1. Customers/Participants have the right to withdraw from this agreement without providing a reason within 14 days of purchase. To exercise the right of withdrawal, send a clear and written notice of your decision to withdraw to info@lavinskola.se. The right of withdrawal does not apply to businesses.
                              2. Age Restrictions
                                  1. Guided activities have no age restrictions.
                                  2. Courses: Participants must be at least 16 years of age for Freeride courses and 18 years old for Pro courses. Participants under 16 years of age attending Freeride courses must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
                                  3. All participants under 18 years old must complete a Parental Consent Form for activities with Funäsfjällens Lavinskola. The form must be signed, scanned/photographed, and emailed to info@lavinskola.se, and the original must be brought on the first day of the course.
                                  4. Participants under 18 years old must be in good health and capable of managing a full day outdoors independently. Funäsfjällens Lavinskola reserves the right to decide whether a participant under 18 years old can join an activity or be removed from an activity.

                                3. Customer Responsibilities Before and During Activities
                                  1. The Customer is required to read Risk Information for Mountain Activities before booking, to understand the potential risks associated with mountain terrain. The Customer must also review the Important Course Information before booking and the start of the course.
                                  2. The Customer must act safely by following all instructions, rules, and safety guidelines provided by guides, course leaders, or other staff from Funäsfjällens Lavinskola. Respectful behavior toward other participants is expected, and discriminatory behavior is not permitted. Customers may not be under the influence of alcohol or substances during courses.
                                  3. Funäsfjällens Lavinskola or its consultants reserve the right to exclude a Customer/Participant if they pose a danger to themselves or others, or if they violate the above terms. In such cases, no refund will be issued.
                                  4. Customers are required to notify Funäsfjällens Lavinskola if they choose to deviate from the planned activity.
                                4. Liability for Damages
                                  1. The Customer is responsible for any damage caused by negligence, either by themselves or their group, to Funäsfjällens Lavinskola or its staff.
                                5. Insurance
                                  1. Funäsfjällens Lavinskola recommends that Customers/Participants review their insurance coverage, ensuring it includes accident insurance for off-piste skiing.
